Who ever thought that circus and fashion could ever be combined in a very literal way? Well, SPELL did it. Last Sunday (December 11th, 2011) i got an invitation to attend "The Parade", a showcase of SPELL's Fall/Winter 2012 collection in Poste Kitchen & Bar. It was a coalition--in a good way, that is--of gothic, theatrical, and a dash of humor all over. I mean, pantomimes on catwalk? That's not something you usually expect in a fashion show, but the outcome wasn't bad at all. In fact, it brought a little 'spice' to the usually boring glamourized fashion.
SPELL is a new fashion brand in town established by 6 young talents from Raffles Design Insitute Jakarta: Gabriella Suwanda, Ria TC, Fransisca Della Ruth Thomas, Melati Octaviani, and Florencia Irena. Anyway, i won't be writing much of a review here (if you want to, you can read my review on Red and White Magz).
